Province-wide workshops and individual support from Community Futures will be available to help business sellers and community stakeholders learn about the GBCBSabout the GBCBS and prepare for the tradeshows.

The GBCBS Tradeshow in Vancouver

October 3rd, 2020 located at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The GBCBS showcases an unprecedented collection of vetted business and investment opportunities, all accessible at one time and in one place to new and seasoned local, distant and international buyers and investors in a tradeshow setting. The event is a major initiative with significant backing and support from sponsors and partners in government, economic development offices, commercial realty, and non-metropolitan BC communities.

The Virtual GBCBS Online

In January 2021 the GBSBC goes online as Canada’s first Virtual Tradeshow for buying and selling businesses. It’s an innovative, convenient way for buyers, sellers and community stakeholders to connect with each other in an online space. Buyers log in using their mobile or desktop device to explore Virtual Exhibitor Booths, view business listings, download information, and chat with Virtual Exhibitors live and in real time. Attendees and Exhibitors from the Vancouver GBCBS automatically receive a ticket for the Virtual Tradeshow. Expect even more business opportunities and exhibitors!

Post-Tradeshow(s) Support to Buyers & Sellers

Community Futures and GBCBS affiliate Venture Connect are available to provide services and expertise that assist buyers, investors, and sellers with the follow-through of purchasing or selling a business. Venture Connect’s expertise in business sales and mediation has resulted in high-than-average successful sales transitions for buyers across BC.

Metrics & Analysis

Throughout every part of this initiative the GBCBS is gathering valuable information that will be shared with partners and key stakeholders so that they can make informed decisions about business attraction and retention in rural and non-metropolitan BC communities, making the transition smoother between buyers and sellers.
